PROGRAM CURRENTLY PAWS’D
Effective January 2021 – ALL PETS MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED (fixed) in order to continue receiving food.
THIS IS OPEN TO ANYONE IN THE COMMUNTIY EVEN IF YOU DO NOT NEED PET FOOD ASSISTANCE
Any new client from January 2021 going forward will only receive the first month of food without their pet being spayed or neutered AND need to show a spay neuter certificate from Low Cost Spay & Neuter before they can continue receiving pet food. We believe so strongly that spaying & neutering is the only way to prevent accidental litters resulting in more unwanted pets taxing our already crowded shelters & rescues that we are offering our own program to assist you with the cost. We will be going thru and contacting our current clients and notifying them that they have 60 days to get their pets spayed or neutered to continue receiving food.
How this will work…
We are going into this with a limited grant and continued fundraising to start this off. As funding continues and more grants are awarded to us we may be able to cover more of the cost related to each spay or neuter certificate we issue, but for now things will be strict and limited. Please bear with us in our efforts. We have no problem with you receiving additional help certificates from other organizations in combination with ours to help cover more of the costs associated with the spay/neuter procedure of your pet(s).
THIS IS OPEN TO ANYONE IN THE COMMUNTIY EVEN IF YOU DO NOT NEED PET FOOD ASSISTANCE
So for now…
We are only paying a portion of the spay or neuter procedure AND we are ONLY working with Low Cost Spay & Neuter in Kingman AT THIS TIME….BUT we will offer transportation ON A LIMITED, CASE BY CASE BASIS (you will have to qualify for this). We look forward to a day when we will have a low cost option in Bullhead City or surrounding area.
Client will be responsible for the remaining amount owed for the spay or neuter procedure, any REQUIRED bloodwork (LCSN requires blood work prior to any surgical procedure on a dog or cat 6 yrs and older for the safety of your pet), any pain meds (keep in mind LCSN requires a 1 day pain med for all pets spayed or neutered. You can choose to purchase 3 days worth). Client will also be responsible for any REQUESTED services such as nail trims, anal glands, x-rays, etc.
Certificates will be issued to the pet owner for the pet. You will not be able to transfer the certificate to another person or used for a different pet. Certificates will be numbered and filled in by hand with a signature from an appointed person in the organization. There will be a duplicate kept in our records for billing purposes by LCSN.
This is not open to any fosters, rescue, sanctuary, shelter, municipal animal control or other animal non-profit with dogs or cats in their care.
